Das kunstseidene Mädchen

Jovana Reisinger – author, director, artist, 2026 Bachmann Prize nominee, Grimme Prize winner (“Unterwegs im Namen der Kaiserin”), class warrior, self-proclaimed ‘Tussi’ – is coming to Vienna. At last! She embodies the archetype of the self-determined woman who refuses to bow to the expectations of the patriarchy: Das kunstseidene Mädchen. The focus is on Doris, who wants more than modesty, conformity and a life in the shadow of men. Doris takes what she wants, just as she pleases. She is, therefore, the perfect blueprint for Sarah Kohm’s production, in which the literary source material and Reisinger’s reality intertwine to form a total work of art. The Kohm/Reisinger dream team most recently brought Reisinger’s novel "Enjoy Schatz" to the stage at Berlin’s Schaubühne and Munich’s Kammerspiele.
