Career, marriage, child. Like so many men before her, Clémence leaves it all behind. But she still wants to see her son. When her ex-husband finds out she is a lesbian, he suddenly sees things differently. A custody battle; a woman’s struggle for freedom and identity, despite motherhood.
Constance Debré offers a direct and unflinching portrayal of a woman’s struggle to break free from social norms and achieve sexual and intellectual self-determination. A theatrical evening exploring female identity as an ongoing process of negotiation between one’s own inner voice and an external (male) counter-voice.
