Maria Milisavljević’s acclaimed play makes its Austrian premiere in Vienna: The woman in "Staubfrau" is confronted with domestic violence. She engages in an inner dialogue with the voices of her mother and grandmother, who reveal the long history of patriarchal violence within the family. In her play, Maria Milisavljević offers a poetic interpretation of the widespread phenomenon of domestic violence and femicide – and a reclaiming of her own identity.
"Staubfrau" won the Mülheim Playwright’s Prize and the competition’s Audience Award in 2025. Henri Hüster is directing the award-winning play with third-year students at MUK.
